In this project, we focus on the teaching of these four languages/cultures: Blackfoot, French, Mandarin and Spanish.

Specifically, the objective of the study is

  1. To review the related literature on teaching a second language together with its culture.
  2. To interview second language teachers to understand pedagogical issues on culture in second language classrooms .
  3. To identify and capture, through videotape, some best practices in teaching of culture in second language classrooms .
  4. The interviews and the classroom videotaping will be edited in iMovie to create streaming video files to post on the website.
